Employers

At Employment Law Advocates, we understand the needs of your business. We work with a very wide range of clients, from sole traders to PLCs and large organisations. We understand that each business is different and we pride ourselves on our ability to take a real-world, commercial and business-centred approach.

We won’t give you an academic lecture; we focus on solving your problems, and on preventing problems in the future.

We have the specialist experience needed to advise and represent employers effectively in tribunals across all areas of employment law. Our areas of expertise include, but are not limited to:

Discrimination, harassment and victimisation,
TUPE,
unfair dismissal,
breach of contract,
holiday pay and unpaid wages claims,
maternity and paternity rights,
part time and flexible working.

We can help ensure that your business’ contracts, policies and staff handbooks comply with the myriad rules and regulations of English Employment Law. The requirements set by the law are demanding; the financial consequences for failing to comply could be very serious.

In return for our specialist advocacy services, we charge very competitive rates, with flexibility as to payment options. Barristers specialising in employment law are relatively costly, and are often too expensive for small and medium size businesses. However, those consultants who do charge comparable prices cannot match our specialism, expertise and on-the-job experience.

We take pride in our refusal to compromise on quality. To give you a flavour of some of the cases which have been presented in tribunal by our advocates: in the last six months, our advocates have, among many other cases:

successfully defended a charity in a 9 day race and religious discrimination case;
successfully defended a building firm in a 3 day case where the employee alleged acts of extreme violence;
successfully defended a management consultancy in an 8 day public interest disclosure case;
defended a TV channel in a high-profile religious and sex discrimination case brought by a well-known former journalist;
successfully defended a nursery in a 5 day disability discrimination claim.
