Our Expertise

Our advocates have a wealth of experience representing companies on all areas of employment law both in the Employment Tribunal and in the Employment Appeal Tribunal. Some of our notable successes include:

  • Defending a multi-national company in a seven day race discrimination and whistleblowing claim;
  • Defending a charity in a nine day race and religious discrimination claim;
  • Defending a national cleaning company in a five day race discrimination and unfair dismissal claim;
  • Defending a construction company in a claim in which the Claimant made allegations of extreme violence from his employers;
  • Defending a management consultancy firm in an eight day whistleblowing claim;
  • Defending a TV channel in a high profile religious and sex discrimination claim brought by a former journalist;
  • Defending a cleaning company in a six figure sex discrimination and unfair dismissal claim.
  • Defending a national charity in a six day race discrimination claim;

Of course not all cases will end up in tribunal. We aim to provide robust advice and, where necessary, negotiate commercially attractive settlements without incurring the cost and stress of attending tribunal. All of our advocates have extensive experience in negotiating settlements and an excellent track record of achieving good value settlements.

Our Fees

We offer a range of fee structures to suit our clients’ needs. These include an hourly rate and fixed fee options, as well as a retainer option for non-contentious and advisory work. We consider that the dedicated level of service that we provide, combined with our vast experience and considerable expertise, means ELA offers unrivalled value for money for professional advice and representation in this area of law.
